How conversion works

All 20 currencies are stored as rates relative to USD. The conversion formula is:

converted = amount × (rate_to / rate_from)

For example, to convert €100 to Japanese Yen:

  • EUR rate vs USD = 0.92 → 1 EUR = 1/0.92 USD
  • JPY rate vs USD = 149.5 → 1 USD = 149.5 JPY
  • €100 = 100 × (149.5 / 0.92) ≈ 16,250 JPY

No. The rates in this calculator are approximate values from early 2026 and are hardcoded. They do not update in real time. For financial transactions, wire transfers, or travel money, always check a live source such as your bank or a real-time currency service.
How does the conversion work?
All rates are stored relative to USD as the base. To convert from currency A to currency B, the calculator divides by A's rate (converting to USD) then multiplies by B's rate: converted = amount × (rateB / rateA).
