Worked example

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band:

2.4 GHz = 2,400 MHz = 2,400,000 kHz = 2,400,000,000 Hz

60 RPM motor:

60 RPM ÷ 60 = 1 Hz = 2π ≈ 6.283 rad/s

What is frequency?
Frequency is the number of complete cycles or oscillations per unit of time. One Hertz (Hz) equals one cycle per second. Higher frequency means faster oscillation.
What is the difference between Hz and RPM?
Hz measures cycles per second; RPM measures revolutions per minute. To convert: 1 Hz = 60 RPM. An engine running at 3,000 RPM = 50 Hz.
What is the relationship between frequency and radians per second?
Radians per second (angular frequency ω) = 2π × frequency (Hz). One full cycle = 2π radians. So 1 Hz = 2π ≈ 6.283 rad/s.
What are BPM in music?
BPM (beats per minute) is identical in conversion to RPM. 60 BPM = 1 Hz. A tempo of 120 BPM means the beat occurs at 2 Hz.
What frequencies does 5G use?
5G networks operate across multiple bands: sub-6 GHz (600 MHz to 6 GHz) for wide coverage, and millimeter wave (24–100 GHz) for ultra-fast short-range connections.
